Denis Deluycker has earned respect in the “heavy dog” sprint musher community. For race he participates in, the other competitors immediately know competition will be though. After working towards a very impressive palmares with Alaskan Malamutes, Denis moved on to Greenland dogs 3 years ago. With this faster & lighter breed, he is certainly a potential World Champion! |
Denis will be entering the C2 class (4-dogs).
Best results:
European Champion in D2, Nauders 2005
Vice-World Champion in D2, Frauenwald 2006
Vice-European Champion in D2, Zuberec 2007
Outlook for the WC 2008:
Finishing each heat, with dogs in good condition, and hopefully, a spot on the podium!
As his mentor, coach and trusted advisor in his starting days almost ten years ago I am very proud that I could share and transfer my mushing experience to a focussed person becoming such a great musher for Belgium. His passion and dedication is extraordinary and his love for dogs earns the highest respect.
It was great to work and mush with him from a Rookie to an Internationnal champion.
Let’s see him on the highest podium spot WC 2008 in Sweden!
